Vintage Heathkit Warrior Kilowatt Linear Amplifier HA-10 ham for sale in Syracuse, NY
For auction is a vintage, hard to find, all original Heathkit Daystrom Warrior Kilowatt Linear Amplifier model HA-10. Item being sold as found and has not been cleaned, cleaning will be left to the winning bidder if they choose to do so. Item is from a smoke free home. Please see all pictures as they are part of this description. Item is in excellent overall condition considering it's age, but does show areas of wear/age inside and outside per the cabinet. The front panel is all original and in beautiful condition as the pictures demonstrate. Item does include it's original line cord and plug. Please note pictures two, three and nine as this linear amplifier does power on. (works*) Both the original pilot lights turn on...the POWER pilot light does function as well as the HIGH VOLTAGE pilot light. (works*) Please view picture nine to note the tubes are lit up and on. Also, please view picture two (and utilize ZOOM) to note the original PLATE CURRENT / GRID meter has movement and is functioning when the HIGH VOLTAGE is switched on. (works*) No other testing was done. All front panel knobs/switches are original and do function & turn/switch. There is no cracking in the original meter. Picture eight displays the tubes that were found with this unit and the inside of cabinet. There are no loose particles inside cabinet. Tubes are included as shown. (tubes untested except for what is portrayed in picture nine) This item appears to be all original inside and the chassis is in good condition with some wear/age per the top side. Chassis is free from any loose particles. However, the bottom side of the chassis is in very nice, original condition as picture four indicates. The original cabinet is intact and retains it's original factory paint, which has some areas with wear/age...but no major denting, drilled holes, cut pieces, etc. Three of the four original feet are present on bottom. As previously mentioned and shown, this item is in good overall condition. Whether left as is or given some TLC or fresh coat of paint on cabinet, this linear amplifier has much potential to be a stellar performer in your ham radio station. Item is also a great, hard to find piece for the Heathkit enthusiast. Item should be gone through electronically by a skilled radio tech before continuous use.
