MRO Buyer

JOB OVERVIEW
The Fulton MRO Buyer procures, as efficiently and cost effectively as possible, the goods and services for maintenance, repair and operations that keep our plants up and running.
It is the duty of all Buyers to possess and to utilize the Purchasing Group Skills Set and to have broad knowledge of the tools used in supply chain management.
At the highest level the Fulton employees must be safe, healthy and customer focused; striving to provide the highest quality service and support to all customers.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop purchasing strategy for select MRO categories, including but not limited to considerations of spot buys vs. long-term contracting
Draft and negotiate contracts with suppliers, including terms and conditions such as payment terms.
Resolve supplier issues relating to quality, delivery and pricing
Support management in strategic MRO cost savings projects
Cooperate with production, maintenance, engineering and other departments in the development of equipment and product specifications and proposals.
Obtain materials from suppliers at lowest cost with considerations of safety, quality, sustainability, reliability of source and urgency of need. This includes interviewing vendors, recommending sources of supply, requesting and analyzing quotations from multiple suppliers, preparing & placing orders, scheduling deliveries, following up on orders, obtaining certifications of delivery and inspecting orders for accuracy.
Visit vendor offices and plants to investigate facilities, capacity, and ability to meet quality requirements, specifications and delivery dates; up to 5% Travel required
Additional activities include preparing purchase order documents and agreements for repetitive purchases and developing and maintaining necessary records and files for efficient processes

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Commitment to company values
Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related field
Minimum of 4 years Purchasing experience
Computer literacy, including an advanced level of Microsoft Excel experience to include pivot table development and other features
An ability to balance tasks and achieve positive results despite a large workload, varying demands, and a fast-paced environment
Quality orientation and attention to detail
Problem analysis and resolution skills
Strong technical skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong team player.
BENEFICIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
MRO purchasing, Inventory Management or Facilities Management experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sight correctable to 20/20
Full hearing and speech capabilities.
Manual dexterity sufficient for keyboard input and writing.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
