The Site Operations Manager is responsible for managing an established 20 person office that consists of: Field Technicians, Geologists, Environmental Scientists, Engineers, and Administrative Support staff.
Our successful candidate will be responsible for developing current customer relationships, acquiring new customers, productivity, diversification, and profit and loss (P&L) for the Syracuse office, and supporting and executing all corporate programs, policies, and procedures in a positive, can do manner.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Oversees office financials including: profitability, cash flow, growth, meeting revenue projections, developing levels of effort, evaluating budgets vs. plans, analyzing cost control efficiencies, reducing variances, and meeting utilization and productivity goals
Identifies new local business opportunities and develops strategies to capitalize on those opportunities
Works closely with senior management to ensure all office goals and objectives are met or exceeded
Provides high level technical and problem solving consultation on complex projects
Serves as the primary customer contact on high level projects
May provide senior review and approval to project data, documents and deliverables to ensure technical, regulatory requirements and goals are adhered to, as well as, ensures company and client QA/QC standards are met Evaluates office staff workloads and redistributes work assignments as appropriate
Interacts with support services managers to ensure all resources are in place for proper project and fieldwork execution
Conducts regular direct report meetings to review current and future projects, discuss current project issues and identify business opportunities, discuss personnel issues, and establish clear expectations, direction and follow up procedures
Manages the Performance Management Process through team meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions for all direct reports, and conducts annual performance reviews for each direct report
Ensures all direct report managers strictly adhere to the management and execution of Clients' Performance Management Process that includes conducting timely annual performance reviews, conducting mid-cycle progress discussions, conducting periodic one-on-one performance progress discussions, and offering frequent feedback on performance and behavior
Attends Site Operations Manager and Regional Manager Meetings
Adheres to all CLIENT Health & Safety standards as well as all Company Policies & Procedures
Stewards CLIENT and client Health & Safety standards and adheres to all Company policies and procedures which includes, but is not limited to: leading monthly HSSE meetings, providing support to the local Health & Safety Officer, providing Sr. quality review of reports (near losses, losses, and job safety analysis), conducting on-site stewardship visits, and ensuring all related metrics are achieved.




Skills/Requirements
A Bachelor's degree or higher in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering or an applicable scientific discipline and at least 10
years of related experience.
Experience providing environmental remediation support to Oil & Gas clients and business development experience are required.
Current or previous experience managing an environmental consulting office of at least 5 employees is highly preferred
Must have the ability to confidently interact with senior management
Must have excellent employee relations skills and be able to identify, address, and resolve issues in a timely manner
Professional certification is preferred.
Must be a leader with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and be a team player
Must possess excellent communication, time management, financial, organizational, problem solving, assessment, technical writing, analytical and coaching skills

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
