Previous inpatient psychiatric nursing experience preferred. Provides nursing care to patients with the knowledge, intensity and responsibilities specific to inpatient mental heatlh population. Occasional lifting. Ability to multitask and work in high stress environment. Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered professional nurse in New York State and one year of post-licensure acute care nursing experience. Candidates with less than one year of post-licensure acute care nursing experience who possess a license, or eligible, to practice as a registered nurse in New York State will be considered for appointment to a Nurse 1 position.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
