Thursdays 6:00-9:00 Fall 2014 Semester, LA Campus (3 credis).
Course Description: This class will thoroughly explore the process by which films and television programs evolvefrom inception of ideas through the development, production and post-production process. Students will discover how the business environment of the entertainment industry shapes the creative process and they will see what challenges must be met in order to bring about the best art and the most successful bottom line. They will understand how their ability to navigate this landscape will impact their success in the industry. Instructor and professional guest speakers will provide real world perspectives.
This course will include a mix of lectures, visual presentations, practical hands-on experience, conversations with guest speakers currently working in the entertainment industry, handouts, and vigorous student participation.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
