Power Delivery Syracuse Substation DeptDescriptionEntry-Level Substation Civil/Structural EngineerJob SummaryPOWER Engineers is seeking an Entry-Level Substation Civil/Structural Engineer to work in the Power Delivery Substations Department in our Syracuse, New York office.Employee will need to live within driving distance of the office (this enables training and mentorship).ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of civil design for substations, including permitting, site work, structural and foundation design, and support of substation physical design and equipment layout. Occasional travel will be required.Required Education/Experience BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited university The candidate must have a strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel The candidate must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship Desired Education/Experience Minimum 3.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) Ideal coursework includes structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying Structural analysis design software experience is a plus Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to civil and/or structural engineering, is desirable Engineer In Training certificate (EIT) or passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam At POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level. The pay range for this position is $70k - $79k per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
