HR Generalist - Employee Relations Specialist


Summary:
The employee relations specialist will assist in employee investigations, consult with supervisors and assist in Human Resource Department initiatives and special events.
Responsibilities:
Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
Develops alternative solutions.
Works well in group problem solving situations.
Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
Assists management with performance concerns, disciplinary action and conflict management issues.
Conducts exit interviews, summarizes findings, and discusses trends and concerns with senior management.
Assists in the administration of performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
Assist in the creation of annual lunch and learn program.
Including; schedule, topics covered, presenters, and food.
Takes the lead on coordination of company picnic and assist with HR projects as necessary.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B.
A.
) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PHR/ SHRM-CP Certificate preferred.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software including but not limited to MS Word, Publisher and Outlook and MS Excel.
As well as Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
