Job DescriptionParsons is seeking an amazing talented Environmental Engineer.
This is an opportunity to join Parsons at our Syracuse office, which has served as a Center of Excellence for our Environmental practice for more than 30 years.
RoleBased in our Syracuse, NY office, this role will support and/or lead engineering assessments and other related activities for a variety of remedial design and construction projects ranging from the initial investigation phases through the final stages of remedial implementation and long-term management, collaborating with different project teams within our Environmental Practice group all across the Northeast.
Completes a wide variety of difficult engineering assignments, applying engineering techniques and analyses.
The Engineer at this level is a fully qualified professional, proficient in the utilization of most engineering theories and practices.
Willingness to occasionally travel to supplier, client, or construction site locations, is expected.
Responsibilities Completes a variety of assignments such as preparing design drawings, technical specifications for procurement and construction, technical presentations, leading meetings, and developing work products for client and regulatory agency reviews.
Reviews contract submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and junior-level Engineers working on the same project.
Support Proposal efforts for new opportunities.
Provide mentorship and development of Junior Engineering staff.
This role may involve significant client interactions in technical presentations, meetings, and development of work products anticipated for both client and regulatory agency review.
Ability to collaborate and cross-sell with other Parsons engineering divisions including Federal, Transportation, and infrastructure groups.
Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 8
years of related work experience.
Professional Engineer registration strongly preferred, or ability to obtain within 1 year.
Strong written and verbal communication skills Workload is expected to occur 80% in office, and 20% in the field, which may vary depending on new project opportunities.

Works efficiently to accurately perform complex engineering tasks.
Familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering, and ability to provide guidance and direction to Project Designers utilizing this software is required.

Salary Range$81,500.
00 - $161,400.
