Health Program Administrator

The Health Program Administrator position will be located in the Central New York Regional Office (CNYRO) in Syracuse, and will perform professional administrative functions to support CNYRO operations. Duties will include researching, monitoring, evaluating, and recommending administrative processes and procedures to ensure efficient regional office operations, including drafting, collecting, and presenting reports; conducting research and analysis of health-related laws, rules, and regulations; and developing and assessing annual financial plans to support administrative processes for regional office sites. The position will also serve as a regional office liaision for various administrative processes between the regional office and Division of Administration staff in Central Office; developing and reviewing purchasing requisitions, consistent with control agency requirements; developing request to fill documents and justifications with regional office programs, and coordinating recruitment activity with the Human Resources Management Group; and functioning as an office manager for assigned sites. This includes coordinating use of equipment and space planning with the Operations Management Group (OMG) and the Office of General Services, arranging for and resolving information technology needs and issues, and coordinating with OMG on building security needs.

Salary Range:
From $46529 to $77912 Annually
Minimum Qualification
Reassignment:
Current New York State Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Health Program Administrator, Grade 18. Transfer:
New York State employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title eligible for transfer to Health Program Administrator, Grade 18, under Section 52.6 or 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Public Candidates:
Active list candidate with a reachable score on the Professional Career Opportunities (PCO) eligible list (26-570), OR qualified 55-b/c candidate in possession of a bachelor's or higher degree. Preferred
Qualifications:
Experience with state and/or federal policy analysis; experience with executive branch governmental operations at the State or federal level; experience working with stakeholders from a variety of health-related organizations; administrative operations support experience for a large organization (200
employees) with geographically disbursed work sites; experience with drafting and/or reviewing budgets and financial plans, and proposing appropriate spending recommendations; experience with process improvement initiatives such as LEAN or Six Sigma; experience with verbally communicating complex information effectively to diverse audiences; strong writing skills and experience with producing polished written products in multiple formats; knowledge of basic hiring principles and practices.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
